Willow trees grown on both banks of the moat, and surrounding traditional buildings, ex., dyehouse and lantern house, show the rich history. The moat was built about 1,600 years ago for irrigation and flood prevention.

Access By bus:Take the bus for Motomachi from Mito Station (North Exit, No.3 Bus Stop), and get off at the stop “Motomachi-1” (about 10 minutes, JPY170)
