Katakuri no Sato Park

A Japanese violet becoming rare near human habitation, grows in clumps spread over about 2000平方メートル in a natural state. Every April, the pretty red-purple blossoms that slightly bend forward, and entertain visitors.

Ookushi Shell Mound Fureai Park

The Ookushi shell mounds are designated as a national historical site. The Jomon Museum of Seasonal Life introduces life of Jomon people through a reconstructed village. The legendary "Daidarabou" giant palm can also be seen.

Ookushi Shell Mound Fureai Park

Kasahara Water Source

In 1663, the Kasahara water line was built by Mitsukuni Tokugawa (Koumon-sama) as ordered by Lord Yorifusa to improve water supply to the subcity of Mito. A stone monument inscribed with "Yokutoku Senki" by Yukoku Fujita, who served as a president of Shoukoukan, is erected there.

Kasahara Water Source   

Bizen Bori

An irrigation canal built by Ina Bizennokami Tadatsugu as ordered by Yorifusa Tokugawa, the First Lord of Mito Region, for irrigation and flood prevention. Even today, it is used as an agricultural water supply.
